Stupid question, I haven't seen it come up yet in the kemper threads. How are you guys controling the Kemper live via footswitch? Does it just take a midi footcontroler?
 
How is the "feel"? It's obvious the tones are there on playback

I've used a ground control pro and a rocktron midimate with no problems. You can also use footswitches to scroll up and down presets or turn off/on effects depending on the setting in the kemper.

The feel is kinda profile dependant. That being said generally when I like a profile it feels great to play through for me. Some have been a little stuff feeling for whatever reason so it must be due to the amp and capture factors. But mostly I really enjoy playing through it
 
When using DI do you need to use Cab IR's from other sources or are there good speaker IR's within the unit ?

Is it possible to use DI and mic a speaker simultaneously ?
 
I'm taking plunge and ordering one soon.........can't wait to try it........ :)
 
Having another Player compliment your tone- usually means very good tone- also he didn't know it was a "Profiler"- even better test.

Must be working very well for Tones - tubes or not.

I'd like to have the option of using my rm4 preamp direct- could I profile my amps power section through the effects return, then use that after the rm4 or other preamp to get a kick ass di tone? On paper that looks feasible, but in practice I'm not sure if it would be effective :confused:

That would defuse any "feel" issues I may be afraid of...

The direct outputs sound AWESOME and are better IMHO than miking a cab. When I used a Axe FX live I miked the cab because the direct outputs didn't sound that great. Yep, you can mic a cab and use the DO at the same time.

I'm ramping up mine for live use, and I will be going Direct Out to FOH but using the tube power amp/cab for stage sound. It will be actually facing me from the front, so no audience head chopping.
