I'm sooo glad I put the mullards back in there...had the nasty agressive punch that I"Ve always loved about that amp....that and the high gain JJ pres make that thing rip pretty good

i'm with C-note (although i'm not too stoked with amps housing a gajillion knobs front and back..the roadking was like flying over a city at night)

hey go purchase and pursue happiness it's your right and it keeps the gear makers in business so cool, just don't pretend you have somehow earned respect because you own a piece of gear that is respectable, and now know everything there is to know.


both times i played the mark V, i asked the mesa rep to dial in tones i desired while i played, and then played appropriately to the tone.
