FWIW, I found the ESP NT-7 pure tits in the 7 string ERG department. Like all the other ESPs, just a killer, slick, fast, smooth player. Loaded mine with a calibrated set of Holy Divers. It's not my main guitar, but it's a great player when I feel like testing limits (drop tuned and down half-step for rest of strings)...this was my Butterslax test guitar.

It passed with flying colours

I really dig my fanned fret 7. I have a 6 FF also. So easy to play.

I don't have any 7 stringers either... Never even thought too much about it til this thread... Thanks for the GAS RT!
*looks for wallet*

I love the intermittent 7 on 2009s EarthsBlood.

Never owned one myself...

WHen I finally got up to 7's, I thought I'd never leave.. I'm primarily a metal player with roots in blues (old school I guess) friends have said my style is Pepper Keenan like.. I'll take that and run, md I also sing. So that being said I found the deeper darker tones lead my voice to a more throaty dark place.. which I happen to like!

After a few years of just 7's, I've shifted back more to 6's. But, now i have a few different guitars in different tunings, thats what the 7 is for me.. just a different tuning... Because I still play it just like a six..

Finding one that feels comfortable in your hands is key I think. I've held some with necks that felt like having a 2x4 in your hand.

Find your way around the guitar as if it's a 6, then use the lower string for lower riffs and runs.

Dude I am REALLY digging this! The scale still feels a little weird. I’ll do a proper NGD Theresa’s with clips.

Nice!

So the guitar got here yesterday. No box. Just shipping labels on the case and the latches covered in cheap packing tape. Guitars is safe though. Horrible back bow on the neck and don’t have the right size Allen wrench so I need to get that sorted. Put new strings on.

LOVE it so far...

Nice man! I’d LOVE to see some pics of your gear! Seems like you’ve got some killer stuff. I tested this guy through a Friedman Runt and te Duncan Sentient/Nazgul set actually sounds better than I expected. I have to retract my precious statement about the Runt as well. It sounded really good with the DS112.

Man that’s rad! Plus the model is called Morgoth??? Makes it even better!

Quick vid from GC when I did my DOA test. Used the Runt 50 and DS112.
