i liked filter until i found out he was using a splawn

Ive had a few harsh words with Richie before. We both almost got thrown out of a U2 show in chicago once cause we almost got into it with each other.

Always loved filter though.

But, if i was playing poker and some dude started singing like that at the table, Id fucking punch him :gethim:

Army of Anyone put out a GREAT album with Patrick. IMO it was far superior to the latest STP.

Amen brother. The comeback STC was shit. Army of Anyone - not a bad track on that album.

Whenever I hear Filter they remind me of a local band called Floater, who has a PNW cult following but never broke. Great style, sort of the next step of the light/heavy writing style.

Ha, I haven't heard the name Floater in years! I used to see them play in Albany from '96 - '98. I thought they'd for sure make it "big!" I miss Oregon. I grew up in Corvallis and moved away at the age of 20 in 2001. Now I live in Massachusetts. Floater used to gig with the weirdest bands. One time, they actually gigged with the Cherry Poppin' Daddies before they hit it big. I also saw them with Sweaty Nipples, post Greg Eklund.
Their guitar player works with me now. He still plays but the band is on hiatus. The singer/bassist moved to Boise or something, and it was basically his band. Bummer, they put on great shows.

I liked Geno in the band too. His riff playing was what I enjoyed most about the band. His customized Strats through H&K and Marshall amps had a really sonic and unique sound.

The scene in the movie when The Crow was on the Motorcycle getting ready to kill some thugs and that song was playing.........
BAD ASS!

Been a FILTER fan since Short Bus. The new album is pretty good. Strange, some of my favorite tracks are on the bonus disc of the deluxe edition. Makes me wonder why they weren't included on the standard release. Check out 'Drowning' and 'Shot From the Sun', which is my favorite track...heavy, with a catchy chorus (track 13): https://www.amazon.com/Trouble-Angels-De ... B003YNN3OU :checkthisout:

Btw, Trent Reznor's new project is called 'How To Destroy Angels'.
