An EQ with a level works great in the loop.

I've used the Mk 4.23 clean boost, Suhr Koko and Suhr ISO boost for the BE-100.

I prefer the sound of the Suhr boosts (specifically the ISO...)

I've been using an OCD (v.3) with the gain off and level at 2-3 o'clock up front to boost the BE channel. I usually like it better than the HBE channel. In the loop I've been using the clean boost side of a Zvex Box of Rock for a volume boost with all my amps. It works like a charm but it's powerful and you've got to be careful with the level.

Using the XOTIC SP compressor in the loop for a solo boost. Works really good for that.

My new BE100 has changed my life...

That's odd...I've got an MXR also and it's really quiet.

Dave can mod that to make it much quieter and it will run on 9Vdc.

When I had one I used an SD-1, OD-9, OCD, GE-7 and Cusack Screamer. Of all of those i think the OD-9 and Sd-1 were the best

Suhr Koko, Boss GE-7 and an old TS808 all sounded great with my old Friedman Marshall.
