Any Fuchs Users Here?

Anyone use Fuchs here? Played with Eye Empire recently and the guitarist was playing through a Mantis. Sounded amazing!

Never owned, but I've tried an ODS30 1x12 combo. That day it was the supreme victor IMO with some pretty stiff competition. Bad Cat Hot Cat 30R, Mesa Lonestar, 65 Amps Lil' Elvis, and Orange Rockerverb 30. I love the character of the Fuchs. Lot of rich grind and plenty of saturation if you want it. Lush and shimmery cleans.
 
BC is one hell of a guitarist with some sick chops and live tone. Him and Corey can be dangerous after-hours, haha. I think Corey is responsible for cleaving my liver in two with a bottle of Jager.

A buddy of mine just finished his new record and Fuchs sent him a Mantis to track with. He had a LOT of great things to say about it. I've been meaning to get over to his rehearsal space to check that thing out in person.
 
Don't know about that particular model but Fuchs are very articulate and plenty of saturation available, especially when you lean into them. More in the Two Rocks, Carol-ann, and, dare I say Dumble, camp than the marshall camp. Not overly compressed, even at higher gain, and lets your pick attack really come through.

Is there any recordings of it available online yet? Would love to hear some clips.

I'll probably track with it this coming fall.

I almost bought a ODS 100 instead of my Einstein. More that happy I bought the Einstein but I'm still jonesin' for a Fuchs. And the Mantis sounds like a beast! Thing about the ODS series is that they can be internally tweaked. I payed one at a music store (ODS 50 combo) and it was very steril sounding didn't like it at all. Then I played a friend of a freinds ODS 100 into a 2x12 cab closed back cab and it blew my mind he was selling it too almost bought it but went with the Diezel. I don't know if the Mantis is like this but as long as it's tuned right they are phenominal amps. Most of they amps are in the Dumble lineage but with their own flavor. They Mantis is more of it's own high gain thing going on. :rock:
 
I had a Train 45 for a while and it was a great marshall-esque amp. Super touch sensitive and took pedals to another level. Not a high gain amp by RT standards, but a little boost in front would make it melt a few.

I like how Andy's amps compress and stay very musical.
 
I picked up a FUCHS TDS 50 this year. My favorite is the clean channel WHICH I love. Super dynamic and responsive. I find using myself switching between a pick and using my fingers more. This amp is really dependent on the speaker and cabinet but then again so is my SLO. It's a pleasant departure from the hard rock high gain thing and I'm having fun working on expanding my playing style. I plan on getting an amp switcher and using my rack and SLO in a wet dry set up and the FUCHS for clean. It's a keeper for me.
 
Main issue I have with Fuchs is too many different amps and it's not really clear what the differences are.

Compare this with Diezel, where a new model takes years to come out, and the lineup with Schmidt, Eini, VH4, Herbert was always very easy to understand.

Fuchs have like 25 different amps and some are for blues, some for metal and I would be very insecure if asked what the Fuchs tone actually is.
 
I had 2. An older ODS100, and an ODS50 w/ SLX and pro footswitch. I LOVED them!!!
