Personally, I am done buying into the hype of modded marshalls.. the original circuits are more than enough. When I crank my 2204 or play my Friedman Brahma module through my Randall with a hot pickup, I get all the goods I need. Koko boost for leads. There really isn't really that much of a difference in what you hear when you listen to what comes out of the speaker. In fact , all these modded gobs of gain amps have to be dialed back when recorded or they become smeared.

The modded Marshall tone is getting so boring to me... they all sound like a 800 with a tube screamer in front, but the pedal is built in and somehow that is very desireable, like it's SO inconvenient to put a pedal in front of an amp???. Some are a little more darker, some a little brighter, but it's all variations on the same old boring tone to me.

Randall/Fortin also have a small box version of the Nuno signature model coming out soon. Anyone get a chance to play through it yet?

Thought it sounded pretty nice but not sure its for me. Now looking forward to the next version of the Nuno sig head

Very cool. I'd like to try one out at some point. Especially a small box, low wattage variant.
