They Are great. They can handle almost anything you throw at them provided you have the right speakers and they project like no other cab Ive tried. In other words if you are 15 ft from the speaker cab the sound comming from the cab sounds like its right in your face. Very uncanny but cool!

Hope this helps

I have a 4x12 port city and it is the most amazing cab ive played to date it is on the same page of my 1960's orange 4x12. im going to be ordering a 2x12 from them this month as well..

I had one that I got direct from Daniel at Port City.
Wicked low end & great projection.
Amazing cabs!

To be honest i dont like OS anything the standard models allways have tighter bass response which is something i love

I didn't like the OS 212, it had a flubby, undefined bass and was very ugly.

Agreed.

I like the Bogner better and the Mills is the best out of the bunch.

I would look at a Mills.

Got a Bogner 4x12 and a Mills. Mills didn't do much for me over any other cab.

Port City has a good idea with bringing the sound forward from the rear of the cab. Has anyone ever cut a hole in a 4x12 and mic'd the rear of an enclosed cab? I would be real curious and may cut a hole in the Mills to give it a try and seal it around the mic. I know that Munkey from Korn does this with one of his Mesa cabs. Not that I would want to emulate Korn or Munkey - but the idea seems reasonable.

If I were you, I would just buy a Port City then and try for yourself before you start drilling holes in your cabs.

It'd be a good thread though........... Awesome..............

I had the regular Port City 2x12. Cool cab. It was very small and lightweight. Sounded really good. I never tried to OS. I'm really not sure that i liked it any better than a Recto 2x12 though.

Really? coming from a OS Recto 4x12 to the standard port city 4x12 there was a huge difference! Recto was awful to me! but then again we all have different taste on paper we might like someting but its all about playing it.

that new stoneage cab looks pretty wicked. believe it's called the beast.

Exactly my fear and why I may not order one. I and many other musicians have gotten great tones from standard sealed cabs. Why try to reinvent the wheel.
