You know, GT-5, GT-8 that sort of thing. I think I remember Neil Schon using a GT-5 but that is about all I can recall. Anybody?

Marty Friedman uses the Boss GT-8 or something like that. However, even though he's one of my favorite guitarists, I wouldn't exactly call him an expert on tone.

I saw them with Dream TheaterFRiday and they were using them. I think by the color it was the new one GT9 or 10???
But I thought their tone was kind of thin....................

and when i saw him a while back this was his rig:

one out from the pod feeds the PA, and the other side feeds the amps on stage: and the amps are basically whatever the venue provides which he uses like a glorified power amp for stage monitoring.

Yeah, he'll often rent a backline of Marshalls, Vox, etc. while on tour but they're never plugged in. He runs the Line6 into the FOH system and back through the floor monitors, from what I understand.
