Ben getting hooked on Throwdown especially the "deathless" cd. Just brutal hooks. Guitars rip. vocals are excellent. Love the grind n syncopated riff age. Sorry just sick of hearing about van halen. :aww: I downloaded there vendetta cd too very cool. Venom n tears is so similar to pantera. Deathless def has a better direction.

Love this type of music. Makes my blood pressure rise. :boxer:

 Im with you all the way throwdown is sick! deathless isnt their best but vendetta....amazing ,riffs are killer

Haven't seen them in forever but for a while they were one of my favorites.

was into their older stuff with Keith Barney doing vocals, kinda lost touch after that, gave a few songs on deathless a listen, pretty cool , very different to before

I bailed on them after VaT because of the blatant Pantera ripoff. Have not heard Deathless, I'll give it a shot.

I thought you were talking like actually throwndown like Bobby Flay style  I dig, but it does sounds a bit much like Pantera.

Ripoff idk about that they sound good. They do sound like them on venom. But deathless has there own sound way better than venom. Great grooves n tight syncopation. I love how he uses his voice ESP now not sounding like pantera but everyone has influence.

The entire band and sound was ripping off Pantera on Venom though. They were competent at it but I grew up listening to Pantera all day every day just about, and I don't need another!

Never got on the pantrra bandwagon. Over rated IMO. Way better guitarists have come n gone that blow dime away. That said. I like some of there songs. Hated his gtr tone was like a million swarming bees!

His tone worked perfectly for the music though, and that's really all that matters. They were WAY ahead of their time / peers in terms of their approach. Yeah, yeah, glam metal start, influenced by Exhorder, etc. That doesn't take anything away from them IMO.

It's just a shame that one of their weakest tracks (Walk) is what they're most remembered for musically. Bleh.

Too many big bands get too much. So many little bands get over looked.

Testament is a great example. They smoke the fuck out of Metallica. !!!!

I dig them a lot actually. Yes definitely have some Pantera going on but I feel like there aren't a lot of bands doing that type of music anymore and I miss it. Definitely up to Pantera quality but to me nothing in metal is (imho don't get pissed). Dime was my guitar hero and had some of the best feel of anyone that ever touched a guitar and his riffs were killer.
