thanks man! with my plexi I use that ibanez soundtank delay - cheapo with the blue lable on it. I use a true bypass box. it goes after my Tubescreamer - I just use a hint of delay. In those video's that's a digidesign standard plugin delay.mcv":3qxhm2nr said:great tone on those youtube videos Darren, congrats!dstroud":3qxhm2nr said:Yup, 1st time I played my ceriatone 1987/tubescreamer I knew that was exactly what I was looking for. Now I got a 1959 Marshall reissue from 1999 Also. I made my egnater seminar back to stock jcm800 and use that with a tubescreamer for live since its got a master volume. I would like to get an 18-25 Watt nmv amp for live.
what delay pedal do you use live? does it go in front of the amp?
cheers!

A stock Marshall feels great to play on. You really hear it when recording.70strathead":3vm4f8yd said:Never left it even though i tried a few mods back in the 80's which never cut it in a live situation. plus they never clean up the way you need them too with just using a volume on your guitar. guitar > od > amp. Somtimes no pedal with a stock Marshall amp cranked up for recording is the best sound.

A mod may be nice for a certain tone, but say goodbye to the nice feel that it had when it was stock, the way it reacted with the guitar's volume when rolled down.
I'd rather use a pedal than mess with an old Marshall inside. With a 70's JMP or an 80's 800 there is nothing to fix.
