Anybody have any experience with the Budda SD 80?

A local buddy of mine has a mint Budda Superdrive 80 Series II 2x12 combo he wants to sell for $1450.

Anybody have a report on these? I have heard good things from Joe Bonamassa and Stevie D from Buckcherry.

I was just thinking it might be a good small gig rig when I just want to bring out a Les Paul and a cord and not the rigs of doom.

Any experience with this amp?

Yep, great amp. Kind of a vintage high gain kinda thing. Warm/smooth with a low-mid focus. Just a nice sustainy tone and a real good clean side. Does real well for a Joe B/Warren kind of vibe with an LP. No fuss effects loop. Pretty good master volume. A lot of amp for what they go for used. The Budda speakers get mixed reviews. In case that's what is loaded in this 2x12....

I think that's a fair price. The heads seem to go for $1200-1300 ish.

I have an SD 80 head. Everything that has been said so far is pretty spot on. I love this amp. I was looking for a big brother for my Budda Stringmaster head and the SD 80 certainly fits that bill.

I have a SD45 now, that I think is incredible. Great cleans, real thick and crunchy drive channel. Mine has the Joe Bonamassa mod, which is a seperate drive channel volume control so that you can better balance the volume of the 2 channels. Deffinately on the "Best Buy" list.
