Anybody have experience w/ Rivera TBR-5 Hammer 320 Power Amp

Hey Guys,

I know allot of big time rack rigs ran the Rivera Power amps back in the day. I have a chance to pick up a Hamer 320. It looks massive...

Anybody ever own/run one?

They were hand made by Rivera himself and are extremely rare/hard to find due to being built to demand only. Usual value is around 1400.

There is a member here who runs one (that i called dibs on :D :lol: :LOL: ). If you can get ahold of one grab it - super transparent and the build quality is absolutely insane. 75 lb rack poweramp :shocked:
 
Reach out to forum member 'guitarslinger' (Gene). I think he runs one of these in his rack.....
 
There's different but there's nothing better...grab it if its reasonably priced.
 
I had a TBR2, which is the rackmounted 120+120 head from the same series. I also used it as a poweramp from time to time, and it was glorious. Huge tone, louder than a 747. I would never have sold it if I hadn´t moved away from racks, these things easily hang with any Boogie or VHT you care to mention.
 
i had one, it is the loudest amp ever and heavy as hell,great build
 
Get a hold of Mr. Burton (he's a RT member) he owns one of these beast

I own the TBR 3 Hammer 120, I like it very versatile power amp and built to last, they weight a metric ton though hahaha
 
VERY nice power amps - I had to let mine go due to the weight.

I have a TBR-1SL that I have yet to even plug in. Only reason I got it was it represents some of my all time favorite tones (Saigon Kick Water, Lizard; Skid Row Slave to the Grind).

At any rate, they are built like tanks for sure, and have a tremendous reputation for quality.
 
these are available NOS from rivera for $1499 as we speak, not rare or hard to find.
