anybody have good clips of some diamond amps

I saw Keri Kelly live with Alice Cooper last year...he played the Spec-Op (I believe) and had awesome tone. I know nothing of the Suhr story...not cool if it is in fact a rip off of one (or more) of John's proprietary ideas.

Don't know how he (Keri) did it...the Spec-Op is one of the most atrocious amps I have ever had the displeasure of playing or hearing.

Clean with a pedal? Had a Marshall hiding behind it?

I had a Nitrox that blew up and melted a bunch of shit. My tech said it was a poor build. But that was just my experience YMMV. Also, it was really nothing special to me in the metal tonz department.

he also did the modifications to aldrich's marshalls and supplied amplifiers for reb beach way before anyone knew what was going on with him.

later on the guitars came - but the amplifiers/electronics came first.

when you engineer something out of the ordinary and someone else takes your idea and uses it to make money against you - then there is plenty of room to bitch.

im just saying that John is the better engineer here - the better electronics guru compared to diamond amplifiers which is nothing but a con-company.

am I being dense here? My point is that none of Suhr's guitars, arguably what he's best known for, are inherently his design. I don't see any difference at all...

Now if PRS was the one bitching, I could see the point.

Actually John started making guitars for the Pensa Shop in the late 70's early 80's, looooooong before Reb Beach, and working with Bob Bradshaw.
