Anybody remember Krokus?

Just heard their version of ballroom blitz, they are another band that just about made it.

Haven't heard much of them at all but they sure have the formula down. Just judging from this one song I think if they had more intense lead work and a better name that could have pushed them over the edge (since it was mentioned they "almost" made it). They are really good though and that Blue guitar looks killer. Couldn't make out the logo on my phone. Looks like a Charvel but the logo doesn't. Anyone know what guitar he's playing here?

Hell yeah i still love "Metal rendezvous" particularly the track "Fire"
the solo is stellar in that one! and also "tokyo nights".
Not sure if Fernando von arb or tom kieffer played that solo?

Seen them in the 80s on the ballroom blitz tour. Opened for Sammy Hagar the red rocker. Ha

“Screaming in the Night” and “Ballroom Blitz” were favorites of mine. Great band outta Switzerland.

About 5 years ago I was listening to one of those “house of hair” episodes with Dee Snider on the radio, and they played Krokus’ cover of Ballroom Blitz, and it made me smile from ear to ear. So I went out and bought one of their greatest hits compilation albums. I enjoyed it from top to bottom. Basically AC/DC meets Dokken. 80s metal is my favorite genre. I fucking love it, and it’s where my heart is at, but it’s before my time, as I was born in the 90s, so I didn’t get to experience the magic of it in real time. I have to enjoy it as best I can after the fact. Sadly, that means there are some great bands I probably still haven’t discovered because our society has pretty much buried that whole decade, written it all off as if it didn’t exist, and shoved Kurt Kobain and Tupac down our throats. So many prominent acts of the decade are almost completely forgotten now. Ratt is a prime example. CRIMINALLY underrated band with a stellar catalogue, and much better musicians and performers than people realize. I’m hellbent on bringing that music back, and returning rock to its former glory!

Sorry, that turned into a rant! Lol... but Krokus is pretty cool!

Nailed it! The lead guitarist was surprisingly great live. I saw the band a couple of times.

Can still remember the first time I heard "Screaming In the Night", ahh this takes me back!

Had the good fortune of seeing Krokus in the early 80s, I think they were supporting Judas Priest. Distinctly remember being blown away by their set. They kinda fell off to the wayside for me, so thanks for the reminder LP!

I seriously doubt this. Dee Snider hates Krokus with every fiber of his being. They threatened to kill his wife.
