Seems like a no-brainer to upgrade my RP1000. I only use mine in the loop for FX only, but if the modeling is that good, I could see more mileage out of it. I ordered one from AMS.

I got mine recently. I used a POD HD500 for years and the layout clicked for me immediately. The Go is really cool. Lots of power in a cool small package (like Mailman;)

I haven’t had much luck running it into the front of an amp yet, or the fx loop. Everything sounds really bright into the input (tried XTC and Mark IV so far) and really dark and muffled into the loop. I tried several amp models with and without cab models. Maybe there’s some global eq I need to mess with.

The good news is that it sounds pretty great into my interface using third party IRs. The Mesa, Friedman and Revv high gain models are doing it for me.

Im not noticing much of an improvement in the effects compared to my HD500 but they do sound a bit cleaner. The pitch/whammy effect doesn’t track well at all surprisingly, regardless of where I put it in the chain. Overall, it’s pretty great for the price. I was planning on running mine with a Kingsley jester in the loop as a small do-it-all rig but I need to spend more time with it to get used to it.
