Anybody using amp sims and impulses!!?

i just got into amp sims/impulses and recording. I know you guys love your axe fx's/bogners/diezels/Camerons.. but after trying some
of these free amp sims from Lepou/Nick Crowe/TSE/IGnite. i gotta say they aren't that bad and they are free!!

Anybody here using amp sims/impulses?
which ones do you like?
 
I donated to Lepou...Gotta...His stuff is great.

I sometimes use it for practice. I use Impulses more...but I direct line out of one of my amps, and mic...kinda get a mix of both. Very useful with doing that.
 
i usually use the amp pre's on my line 6 HD and use cab impulses. Most people cant even tell its an amp sim
 
For recording it's better to use a good impulse than a bad setup, that's why I always use them. Of course, a good setup will be better, but you need the hardware, and above all the knowledge.

But there's one other thing which is great with software based modelling, it's how easy it is to reamp.
