Anyone in this forum going to the NY Amp Show this weekend? It gives us hardcore tone fanatics a chance to sit down and really play amps in a private demo room with no volume restrictions!! Most of the amps will be Boutique, prototypes, and Newcomers (like myself) that aren’t available at local stores.

I’ll have my 200w Dynamo GTS (4xKT-90) and Dynamo GT-6 (6xKT77) as seen in the Guitar World Videos. Links below. Hearing is believing! Regardless of the awesome power everyone who hears them in person is blown away by its tone!!! I had many 30w amp shopper’s Decline to try them at my last tradeshow but after a firm coaching they were all drooling after about 5 minutes of playing them wanting more and wishing they could justify the power to get one! Anyway if you are in the area, Come visit my room #225 Dynamo Amplification see details below!!

I'm totally going! I've never been to an amp show either. Can you bring your own guitar?
Of course you can. Ill be there but not sure which day...

Bring all your guitars, pedal, FX, even your Cab if you are looking to match up a head.

I'll have my personal hot rodded guitar- Brian Moore Custom MC/1 w/floyd and Live wire active

I'll also have 3 new demo guitars provided by Schecter Guitar Research- Solo Cst, C1 Cst, SLS C7 Passive

I was going to go, now I'm 50/50. I've also noticed that in past years they've put a list of companies attending then 30% don't show.

Great show lots of cool vendors and the discussion room is a lot of fun. Voodoo amps will be there and Trace is a great guy to talk to so that's worth the price. If I wasn't going to Dover for the races that weekend I would be there.

OK boys. Here's the final exhibitor list. Cameron and VooDoo are now OUT due to their own situations, so don't be pissed at me!
If you pay $20 to get in Saturday, you can come back on Sunday for $10. Parking is free. If that's too much for you, than you have no business showing up to waste the manufacturers time. Go to a matinee instead and spend the $20 on soda, popcorn and JuJuBees, and be out in 2 hours wondering what the fuck you are going to do now.

I was so looking forward to comparing to Cameron Amps to my Dynamos Amps. I guess I'll have to wait until the LA show or summer NAMM..

do you know offhand if they'll have (hard to find) pedals for sale at the show?

Guys make sure you stop by the Carol Ann booth and try King Guitar's 100W Triptik in Red Sparkle. I tried it the other day (Alan is a good friend and lives close by) and it was incredible. I would imagine it will be sold that day. He will also have my 35W TripR there for those of you that need a lower power version of the Triptik. These amps are just killer and now with Brad as a dealer are not going to be under the radar here on RT anymore :>.

Last year "Prymaxe Vintage" was there and they had a ton of pedals. I don't see them on this years list though.

I was looking forward to voodoo and Cameron , still might be fun though

I'll be there. It's once a year and I've gone to each one. Now its 15 mins from me instead of 30 mins so I'm very lucky. Might even go both days assuming there's a lot of new stuff.

i spoke briefly with kage who informed me that pigtronix was gonna be there (hopefully i'll score a philosopher's tone for cheap!), but i was mainly hoping for some obscure/rare pedals that some companies would be using in tandem with their products that i could potentially take off their hands   :D

otherwise, if there will be any vendors selling pedals straight up, i'll be checking out their wares for sure!

btw, i'll be there early saturday morning!

Hey Guys,

Have some family commitments but going to try to get there for Sunday.

Brad

I just realized this is across the street from where I work. I may go. The NY amp show in NJ. Nice.
