Anyone else absolutely HATE rewiring guitars??

I don't mind most of the time, but no hollowbodies. I did one and never will again.

The only times I don't really look forward to it is when one of those 24-lug, 5-way Ibanez Prestige switches is involved OR if it's a semi-hollow body guitar...fishing the pots in/out through the F-holes.

Uhm, no! lol... sorry, love it... :D

I've done somthing custom/changed pickups to every guitar I've owned...

Got a good rapport with Emmett Brown, "Deaf-Eddie", he's given me awesome wiring schemes for my Mockingbird over the years... Great guy!

The detaching green/bare wire from the back of the pots is my absolute FAVORITE ..get it all back in but something rubs against something and bam! wires lifted.. or the always satisfying burning through other wires when trying to reconnect the aforementioned green/bare..... good times!

That's why the good Lord invented heat shrink tubing...

It's three humbuckers... Cool Rails/Neck, lil 59/middle, Duncan Custom/bridge....

3 mini toggles...

What a f-cking bitch of a job with all these fiddly little ground wires that keep detaching from pots.. with an already bad lower back this is absolutely killing me and sending me to the brink of smashing something. Add to the mix a 8 month old puppy that won't give me a second to myself and you have a recipe for disaster. Now that i think about it, people charging 60-80$ to rewire a guitar are totally earning their money because this is a major pain.

Anyway, time for the tone pot. :gethim:
Man I feel ya! There are times I get in the zone and it is just so much fun
and everything falls in place. Then, there is those times I am about to lose
my freaking mind with nothing working right and falling apart. hahaha I have
many that come to me for wiring up new pickups and I am glad to help but
if something doesnt sound right I just cant leave it alone and with lean over
that sucker until its right. Break out the Red Bull and send everyone packing
for complete concentration!!
