I played Amplifires EB EVH yesterday and everytime i pickup an Axis i feel that these necks were made for me. They feel like an old pair of sneakers. On the other hand, i really dislike the wide Ibanez type neck profiles  I can deal with the fat Gibson necks though but i like the necks on the LP Customs as they're not that fat.

That Reb Beach Suhr neck profile is nice but i still like the Axis better.

You guys had a guitar cleaning and pledge party the other day and I was not invited?

I lubs me my cheap Ibanez guitars  Of course my two GMW planks are the favs.

Oh yeah... I like the EB necks better than the Wolfgang necks for some reason  JP neck as well.

I'm an EB fanboy I think, so my opinion may not count...but their necks fuckin' rock!

I absolutely love the Axis necks, too.

However, I dislike the rest of the guitar. I played them for awhile and never fully gelled with the uncomfortable (to me) body design. Also, I'm not a huge fan of maple on basswood (tone-wise), even though I like those woods in other configurations.

I wish the Axis neck would fit on a strat body....then I'd be in heaven. ;)

Dude even I think those neck shapes are righteous and I have what many refer to as "bitch hands."

That and I just absolutely love maple necks and boards.

I know what you mean about the body, but i can deal with it. When i first play one i have to make sure i have it in a certain spot.

But i like how Basswood/maple tops sound. I owned some Andersons with that combo and i always liked the tone.

I haven't tried an EBMM, but I LOVED the neck on the one Wolfgang I tried.

I have always loved the EB necks. I can't get comfortable on that body with no forearm contour though. And I LOVE how maple sounds on basswood with a maple neck

Yeah, the top edge always dug into my forearm. I became accustomed to it, but it never felt totally right.

For some reason, there's something about the high frequencies that bother me with that wood combo....and I like a lot of snap, too.

The birdseye necks on my USA Standards are slimmer than the hard rock maple necks on my USA Specials for some reason. The Standards seem to play a little better, tolerating less relief and lower action. I had to shim the neck a little on a Special to get real low action, and every thing looks cool on it but it needs alittle more relief than the Standards.

Love 'em! I have 2 EBMM EVH's and an Axis. (one of them in my avatar!)

The top used to dig into my forearm at first, but I'm used to it now.
:)

I dig the EB necks, however I don't like maple tonewise, just too bright for my tastes. I did see a used Axis one time with a rosewood neck and fretboard. I didn't plug it in cause I didn't have the time. the neck ruled though, and with the body woods of those guitars, the solid rosewood neck probably would've suited it tonewise for me.

Man, at last years summer NAMM I was on my way out and finally stopped by the EB booth. They had some kiosks with guitars, modelers, & phones. The guitar I picked up felt like the best guitar I ever held. The neck felt incredible and fit my hand perfectly. It was so fucking comfortable & natural feeling. It was an Axis. I really need to get one.

I havde 2 axis and a silo special, the silo special has a kick ass neck with a strat style body, if you like the vibe of EBMM necks but the tele style body is uncomfortable then grab a silo special for sure, its my #1 guitar - for the record the albert lee model has the most kickass neck of all the MM guitars -

I have a lucky bastard for a friend and he is endorsing them. he has like 7 or 8 axis/ss/and whatever the rosewood one is.

they super slick. I'm saving for one....

I LOVE my Axis!! Plays great and sounds great. I also have 3 Wolfgang Standards that I like equally as much as they have a similar (although not identical) feel.
