Anyone ever get one of these 2204 Amp build kits?

So you went with the ebay kit? Interesting. I saw ceriatone lists their boards as "assembled", I wonder if that means you don't have to solder on the small parts, just install the board along with trannies, pots, ets.

This is not a Ceriatone kit, I am only getting the chassis and mounting hardware from them.

This Ebay kit is not assebled but comes with decent transformers. :thumbsup:

FYI The Ceriaton kits come with boards already assembled.
 
I have been thinking about geting one of those kits for the past year or so. Be sure to post details about the build. If it is decent I might have to pick one up :rock:
 
Man I listened to the sound clips of all those trannies and honestly, I really do think I like that brand just as good as heyboer or MM, I didn't like the Weber at all, the other two weren't bad but over all I think the Magnetic components was just as good if not BETTER than the others... hmm?
 
Not for nothing but you have some expensive gear so why screw with this shitbox kit?

Don't you need correct voltage rated Teflon coated wire and not cloth push back wire to do this project? :confused:
 
Cloth is just considered more "vintage" like. Either will work fine.

Because I am actually building it. :lol: :LOL:

I look at it as I am paying tuition for a class at building amps, I am doing it more to learn, don't want to fuck up nice stuff if I dont have to. I am sure if the build comes out nice I can probably break even or come close on the local craigslist, where the buyer can come over and try the thing out before they buy.

If the kit comes out good I am going to do a Superlead Metro build in a 100watts and I would try to do a Jose mod myself since I been saving pics of Jose gut shots on my computer.
 
Cool I got the Chassis mounting hardware and faceplates all ordered for 90 bucks and it comes with all the mounting hardware.

I found a guy that makes headshells on Ebay and he can make anything to order, he just told me to send him the dims. :thumbsup:
