If so, How good is this thing for gigging with?

I read a bunch of reviews with guys saying they liked it much better than the Boss pedal tuners.. Saying it tracked better, and that the accuracy was better.

I gotta say it does look like a great tuner for gigging and the display looks like it would be great on dark stages!

All of the above plus you can read it easily in lit or dark places, small form factor, built like a tank too.

Awesome Randy!

Pretty sure im gonna buy one for my board..

Does it eat batterys fast or do they last a decent life in the Pitchblack tuner?

+1 and it doesn't eat batteries much at all. At least mine hasn't so far.

Still have the original in mine and is about 6 months or so old.

Thats extremely cool!

Im sold. I will grab one very soon, as i need to finish up a small board to take out to practice + gigs

The Pitchblack replaced a (fragile) Strobostomp on my board...awesome tuner!

Wow very cool! I wondered if the Strobostomp would be the better choice, but frankly.. i cant afford to be spending over £100 on a pedal tuner!

I'd never NEVER go back to my Boss TU2. Pitchblack is just faster, more accurate, and True Bypass. I love mine. Me and the other guitarist in my band both made the switch and are very happy.

Im totally sold.

Thanks for the info guys!!!!

I love this tuner too. Visuals are much better than the TU-2. I have one gripe though:

It makes a slight popping noise when turning on and off. Not sure if this is a function of true bypass or not.
The pop is quite noticeable at loud amp volumes especially if your tuning during a quiet part of a song.
This made it unusable for an accoustic tuner/mute at my theatre gigs where you can hear a pin drop during songs.

The Boss turns on and off silently so IMO it has the Korg beat in that one area.

Another happy Pitchblack user here.

The TU-2 has been moved to bass duty.

So far so good. I like having it on my board, hands free. Like the above poster, the TU-12 has moved to bass duty.  I do miss the needle however, it's been a bit of an adjustment.

This is my only issue with it. Otherwise, it's a great pedal tuner. I just recently picked it up, so I haven't gigged with it yet, but I'm concerned about that popping when playing live at an increased volume.
