Went last week and god damn, watch out for Lamb Of God, they are crushing man, best sound of the night. Chris Adler is a monster drummer man, just crazy.

Testament is one of my favorite bands and they where awesome, if they could have the LOG sound, watch out. Amazing guitar players, but that we already knew!!!!!!!

Slayer was Slayer, great as usual, i miss Toms voice from the 80's though, should scream a little less. Gary is great but he aint no Jeff. Miss Jeff. He was a big part of Slayer.

It sums up pretty much last week show. Too bad we missed Testament though, i would have put them right before LOG.

Wish I was going :( Thought about it, but it'd be a 9 hour drive for me.

Saw Slayer last year with Anthrax and Death Angel and all were awesome. Anthrax killed it, but Slayer was as good as I've ever seen them. They did angel of death and Tommy actually screamed the opening line...get goose bumps just thinking about it. They had a killer killer set and even played some of Hell Awaits.

Nobody is going to slayer, even them...because slayer is long gone.

You do not know what you are talking about.......

This has been discussed, and I do. You can't have the chemistry that formed this band again. Remember Lombardo and Hanneman, I do and they're not there. Old slayer and the ONLY slayer is gone...and to prove my point further do you remember Cliff Burton cuz Metallica was never the same and never will be. The Blitzkrieg was glorious but it's over as it was and will never be again.

You might be right about this, but the new "versions" of Slayer and Metallica are still very much worth seeing.

I do actually get your point. I have been a Slayer fan since Show No Mercy came out, i am 45, and yes it is not the same as it was, but they are still bringing the goods and they are worth seeing live still. Was a very good show. And Gary does a great job as Jeff, solos are close to the originals he is tight.

Still miss Jeff very much of course and it will never be the same without him but a great show none the less.

Slayer came to town a couple of years ago, it seemed to me they have slowed a step or two. Not to say I still didn't want to go when they were here a couple of weeks ago, but work happens. My point, given the chance I would still go and see them, they're still Slayer.

You’ve been listening to Slayer since you were 10 years old?

Saw them in Cinci.. I though Anthrax stole the show. LOG, mark and chris looked like they would have rather been having colonoscopies, and chris was a little sloppy.

I thought Anthrax owned it at the show I saw last year too. They killed it!

????

Yeah i have, i grew up on Zepplin and Sabbath and Priest, my dad was into that big time. Then my cousins started bringing Venom and Maiden and Tygers of pan tang. Then Slayer and so on. When i heard Show no mercy, it was a background album, liked it but did not get into it as i did not understand what the hell was going on. I came back to that album a couple years later when Reign in blood hit.

Show no mercy is still one of my favorite albums of all time, it is unbelievable for it's time. Such killer riffs.

I’m smashing my face with a bat because I’m jealous of the incredible head start you got. I didn’t hear of Slayer til 1985 when I was 19 (Hell Awaits). Earlier that same year I heard Metallica for the first time (Ride The Lightning). Up til then the heaviest thing I’d ever heard was Black Sabbath (Mob Rules). What an awesome musical upbringing you had!!

I wish... don't think they are coming to my neck of the w̶o̶o̶d̶s̶ islands anytime soon.

Thought it was a fun show in VA

Didn’t get there in time for Behemoth. Lamb of God had lots of energy. I thought Antrax was great. Slayer sounded like Slayer.

Lol

Thought you meant it was like impossible!!!

Yeah i was lucky to have my dad listen to heavier stuff, it paved my way. My oldest son was way into Children Of Bodom at 7 years old, i was blasting metal in the house till 3 in the morning back then.... Well still am!!!!! Lol

When i work on bikes in my garage, it is METAL all the time, i am a metalhead true and true. A lot of ffiends i have dont understand, they say they listened to metal when they where teenagers!!!! And grew out of that

I will never grow out of Metal, wtf, as a matter of fact, i will never grow up..... Fuck them!!!!!!!!

Lol
