Anyone here owned one of these or even played one, I know a lot of guys have owned played the old version but I never hear anything here about the new one. One of few amps I have gas for right now. If so what are your thoughts on it, seems to nail plexi/hotrod plexi sounds with a great clean as well?

Go over to groomed noodles and talk to Alex. He has one.

Long term user of the old and new versions here.
It has the perfect clean channel that can be purely clean or driven to mid gain. It has always been the perfect clean channel.
Channels 2/3 are clones and can go from old school to modern modded Marshall sounds. With separate gain and volume controls as well as the boost, there are no features that you'll find yourself wanting for.
There are few amps you can say that about.
If it's the voice you're looking for, you'll need no other amp.
Listen to 'Burn' on the new Whitesnake release. You get Reb on the amp starting off and first solo, then Joel joining in on the BE-100. It's a great sound and comparison.
Btw, the matching cab is essential IMHO.

Hey thanks for that description! Seems like an awesome amp. I have several greenback style 4x12's, but not sure I'm going to be willing to spring for the matching cab.

You'll do well with those. I saw Pete Thorn through the amp recently at The Viper Room with a house Marshall 4x12 and it was a great sound.
It will have more clang with the Creamback H75s. Throwing a pair in the top of one of your cabs will get you there if you get the urge.

Really interested in this thread . After much thought and debate I've narrowed my high gain Marshall search down to the Suhr PT100 and the Landry LS100G3 . sjk , good luck in your search .

Pulled the trigger! Got a used one on it's way and will have it in week?
Can't wait but in the meantime this vid from Matts Music sounds awesome, I know everything Pete plays sounds killer but this video was not a produced clip, sounds like an iPhone or zoom camera etc.
Sounds perfect!

Very cool amp, probably one of the top three I would have on my list. There are many days I miss my OD100SE+, nowadays I'm sure a PT100 would be more my speed. Have a Landry LS100G3 inbound next week, really hoping that satisfies my tonal needs like the OD did back in the day. . .

I owned the CAA PT100 and now the PT100SE. Hands down my favorite amp. Fantastic Fendery clean and killer distortion. I keep the channel 2 gain low and boost it to get classic tones and put channel three up higher (around 8) and it sings. The amp loves pedals and the loop is amazing. I replaced the Creambacks in the Sig cab with Scumbacks (H75 and M75 65 watts) and it sounds fantastic.

Really torn between the PT100SE and the SL-68. One of them will be mine.

Never played the SL68 but I've already got the NMV Plexi thing covered with a Metro-Friedman Plexi, and 50 and 100 Watt Metropoulos Plexi replicas. As much as I love those amps I'm getting tired of having to attenuate (sometimes just dime the 50 watt without attenuation) and even then still playing em way too loud and probably bound to get some hearing damage   I'm looking forward to the PT100SE getting here sometime next week. Channel 2 sounds awesome in some of the clips like the one I posted above.

Hey Lifeson1 I'll repeat what I said to sjk , full report when you get the Landry . This is becoming my favorite thread .

Sacrilege! Not really, but a ballsy move for a cab that runs so many $$$.
Greenbacks were my favourite speaker in a 4x12 and a replacement to suit a 2x12 with the power handling to take a 100W amp proved elusive (I did try the M75 65 & 100w).
The PT cab gave me the freedom to get rid of a great 4x12. It sounds terrific with all my amps.
