Sounds killer. Is that a MKI or a MKII? Makes me miss my SL67.
Mk I.
I’ve been thinking about sending it to Suhr for the Mk II upgrades though. The bright and mid boost switches seem really useful.

Good playing! I’m in between on the tone. I’m a Superlead lover/player too. For the most part it sounds good but when I try to record I get some similar traits that I don’t like. A little too squishy, I want it to feel squishy but not sound that squishy if that makes sense.
Thing is when I stand off-axis to the speakers it sounds killer. But that mic is right up on the speaker and gets everything. I have a makeshift baffle (literally poster board hung from a mic stand) right in front of my cabinet so I never hear the straight on speaker tone. It kinda works.
I loved my amp at Mark one. I did send mine back and I’m very happy with the result.
it’s better to have them work on it in my opinion. They’ve got it in the system as a Mark two now so if I ever have a warranty challenge, I’m good. It’s my favorite amp followed by my SLO 30 so I know I’m keeping both of those for the long run
This video is almost too short to make it worth posting, though it’s my mark 2 SL 67
Same amp with more features.Sounds killer! Plexi’s have a crunch and chime on top I haven’t heard from any other amp. Did you have the Bright switch on for that clip?
Also, when you had your amp upgraded to Mk II, did you notice the core tone change at all, or did it feel just like the exact same amp but with a few new features?
Not a bad idea, and reasonably priced for a full MKII upgrade. That’s what I wished mine had. I cracked it open and alligator clipped some different bright caps. Having the switch on the front would be so nice for convenience. The insides of those amps are a work of art.Mk I.

Even for rock i don't think it works in the clips you posted. Your description fits.
