Are these guitars a one time run (obviously the 79 beat up ones are ) or is the VOS a production model now? Nothing wrong with trying to make a profit but for a guitar that’s already 6k I can’t see too many jumping on one priced at 12k+ second hand. Crazier things have happened I guess.
I just checked and their website says the VOS is also a limited run. My assumption is they're doing more than the 79 aged & signed ones, but it doesn't say how many they're doing so I'm not sure.

79 Aged & Signed, 50 for US and 29 for Export

179 VOS

After reading the article, it certainly sounds like it was an inside job
The members of Tool probably did it. Fuck that band. For starters he`s a no guitar playing bitch.

I can understand buying for retail price if you're fan. But resell!? No thanks.

The 2nd run is still $10,000 lol.

I should have held onto my original Norlin SBs! But whatareyagonnado

At that price, I would probably be thinking more about buying his entire rig instead. Diezel VH4, Marshall Superbass, pedalboard, 4x12s. The lot.

It is a nice guitar. However Silverbursting a Gibson Les Paul is not that expensive. So basically that guitar would have to be some of the best out of Gibsons LP workshop, period.

Seen Tool live. Great sound. Great tones. I hope people who buy the guitar get exactly what they wanted.

I went into GC yesterday, and someone was either picking theirs up, or came in to show it off. One of the senior most sales guys was playing playing it through some used Krank, and a Victory 2x12. Sounded like an LP custom. Really chunky and full. Sounded good, and the guy playing it dialed in a pretty convincing Jones tone... but not 5 figures good. but i know how it is with Gibson...
