To help out Mike and his wife Tannis….post it up here. I’m not particularly comfortable doing this but I will be running it. I will also probably ask someone to maybe assist me and be an observer for everyone’s peace of mind. Anybody that knows me knows that stealing or cheating is antithetical to my personality but I do like transparency. That way the money is there with everyone’s information. I ask that you please put your Rigtalk handle in the memo section. Depending on how many items get donated will determine the amount of ticket prices. For simplicity’s sake one ticket will be a chance for multiple items donated. Then when it’s time to draw I will probably do a random number generator to select the winner of each item. Does that sound good for everyone? Also items donated for the raffle will be in the possession of the owner who donated said item and it will be on them of course to ship it to the winner. How does this sound to everyone? Am I missing anything? Overlooking something? I will sticky this and let it ride for a week until we get a list of donated items together. This thread is only for items that folks are willing to donate for the raffle! In probably in about a week I will post the actual raffle thread with my PayPal info. Sorry if I wasn’t clear!
Just to add a couple things-
1) members who are pledging items to the raffle…please give me your contact info via pm so I can get hold of you if needed. Might be times where I would send out a group text…and some gay pics… maybe.
2) sandman has graciously agreed to be my number one on this to one-make sure I don’t mess up and also to monitor all financial transactions. Basically keep an eye on the balance. I will be giving him full access to my PayPal account. If I didn’t trust him implicitly I wouldn’t do this. However I want everyone to know that there’s nothing shady happening. Ever.
3) when the raffle is over I will immediately transfer the funds to mike. Done. No drama, no fanfare…here it is and we love you- may it bless you and your beautiful wife.
4) not sure if this is a dumb question but it will be possible for one person to win more than one item through a random number generator. Does anyone have any issue with that? I hope I’m being clear on what I am trying to say. If there’s 50 items there’s a numerical possibility that say jonnyguitar might win all 50 items. Almost numerically impossible but still possible for one member to win more than once. I don’t think it would be right to remove someone from the raffle if they won something. What do you folks think?
