I'm trying to find reliable info on his gear. Specifically his signal chain. All I can really find is that he uses Dean guitars and Randall amps.

Met Ben Dover in jail once... huh? wait a second.....

He`s a damn fine guitar player, i really like some of his stuff with Eidolon, monster rythms.

I bought a Dunlop rack wah from him last year and he was great to talk with. He`s in Toronto.

Super underrated player. I might be in the minority on this but I prefer him to Chris Broderick in MegadetH. I like his tone better for sure. Last I heard he was using a rocktron prophesy II preamp with marshall power amps and a digitech tone driver pushing the front end. Hope that helps.

i prefer him to Chris Broderick too, love that warm neck pickup smooth woodle he does, it has more personality to my ears than the Broderick stuff

I also prefer him to Broderick in Megadeth.. I was front row when they played at the London Astoria back when Glen was in the band, and his playing and tone was just awesome!!

No one compares to the original Megadeth lead guitarist, Kerry King

My favorite Mega lead guitarists are, in order :

1) Friedman
2) Poland

Don't care about the rest though they are all monster players

+1

Friedman to me is the most recognisable lead player of them all, and by all, i mean in all of metal.

+1 here also on Drover over Broderick :D now i love Chris Broderick's playing, especially his few albums together with Colorado power metal band,Jag Panzer,BUT i still seem to favor Glen Drover's style more.loved Glen in his Eidolon days, especially the "Coma Nation" cd(FUKN CRUSHING METAL!!!).while Glen was with Eidolon,i once e-mailed himk thru that band's webpage asking which amp and guitar pickup he uses.he answered simply,Marshall 800 pushed with a Boss multi-effects pedalboard(cant remember which model?) and he had just switched from a Duncan Custom-Custom pup, that he used for some years, over to a Duncan Invader pickup.i saw him ONCE play live with Eidolon and it was awesome  they were part of a 2 day metalfest in Cleveland,Ohio back in 2003,i believe, and metal mag BW&BK (bravewords & bloody knuckles, from Canada) was the one that was sponsoring the whole thing.i drove out from Chicago with friends to see this metalfest and it did not disappoint!!! good times!!!
