I've always liked the sound of 15 inch speakers for guitar, especially when paired with a 12. Would like to get a 1x15 into the rig. I wonder if I could convince Avatar to make me one on the cheap? Don't have a lot of cash to spend on it, since there are a lot more important gear purchases I need as well.

I'd love to have another 1x12, a 1x15, and a 1x10 for my future rig. Get my 4x12 back up and running too. Then I could run a wet/dry/wet, or use the 1x12's for each amp gainy amp, and a 1x10 for the clean amp. I'd rather have a clean combo, so I can use it as a portable rig with pedals, but the head/cab is just easier in the end. Decisions, decisions.

The rig idea was basically to have 3 amps. A Mesa (Single Rec or Mark), a modded Marshall style amp, and a clean amp (Fender most likely, maybe Vox). My tones would be cleans on the Fender (and from the Mark IV if that's what I go with), and different combination of the gain amps for my rhythm/lead tones (each separate, or combined.

Zackman has mentioned that I might get this goal accomplished by running the modded Marshall style amp's pre-amp into a Mesa Simul-Class power amp for the Mesa tones. Would make the rig more portable and easier to configure. I need to try this out and see what it sounds like. Zack, if you could go back over the rig we discussed online in words so I can read it out and work on it some more, I would really appreciate it.

I also need to rack my pedals and control them and amp selection via a floorboard. Kage suggested the Gig-Rig stuff, which looks great. Thanks again Kage! This looks like it could be perfect. Instant Access to my pedals, and presets of amp/channel/effects all on one floorboard.

i like 15's for guitar. i had a randal scott ian sig cab with two v30's and a single emi legend 15. sounded great. not sure about where to get an empty cab though.
