Anyone one try the dimarzio illuminators. Opinions are

Has anyone tried these yet. I wondering how they compare with the crunch lab or Air Norton, I have stock pups in my suhr And as they are ok. I want a little more liquid lead tone and a bit more push and compression on the bridge pickup. I have a mark v as well and always liked Petrucci’s tone But how does the pickups compare in a non studio sound ? Thanks for any insight fellas

I had a 7 string set briefly. I remember they were very hot. Not bad: they seemed nicely saturated without being mushy. Seemed hotter and maybe brighter than the Crunchlab/Air Norton to me. I didn’t use them long because they were just too high output for my tastes.

Hot, & clear but dark & kinda harsh. That’s the bridge, did not gell with t at all. The ecstasy however is awesome
