Anyone owned or tried a Kruse modded Einstein vs Factory?

Tried a MK 1 Herbert today that started a Diezel itch (don't care for the VH4) and even though I was digging the Herbie, The Einstein 100 might be more my bag. The Kruse mod seems to add a decent amount of presence and clarity from their clips but could the same be achieved by turning up the presence knob lol....I'm not sure I would need the modes footswitchable, Just interested in tone. The Kruse page says it's mod opens the amp up, less compressed. Is it an overly compressed amp? From the clips I've heard it seems the more classic rock capable of Peter's amps which would lead me to hope it's not overly compressed.

Is the D-Moll basically a 100 watt Herbert?

I had a Kruise modded Einstien and the Dekomp mod was great it's tough to hear in clips you have to feel it in person ..I liked it so much had him mod my Herbert too his customer service and work is tops !

I owned a Kruse modded VH4 and its the best amp I ever owned. Definitely reduced the compression.

I've still got that Herbie  :D Love that amp.

I have a 5150 50w & DMoll modded out
Communication & tone improvements are awesome by Kruse
The DeK, treble & presence all yield different tones; not the same as just adjusting presence

Can you describe the DMoll in relation to a Herbert?

Short answer: No. Not at all. D-Moll is different. Not as metal nor as versatile. Don't let the 180-200W power section on the Herbert scare you. It plays very nice at lower volumes... but it holds together and stays tighter. Clearer, more articulate tone than the D-Moll. Talk to LunatiBSW for more info as he used to own the D-Moll and now has the Herbert.

I never played them side by side but...
The Herbert was phat & clear
The tones aren't light years different to DMoll
One thing to note- Kruse tweaked my Moll ch1- before it was already good but now it is AMAZING

I've thought about checking out Kruse for a VH4 i might be getting. Does anyone have any comparison videos or clips?

Kruse mods are unique in that it has a DeK knob that when dialed to 0 is identical to stock.
Seems accurate to that claim IME
Most people like that around 9-11 oclock, so not blasting the dial but just adding a smidge of Decompression
