Well got back from the first show and Oni Logan was not singing. Not sure what is up but I had thought he was going to play on this tour. Maybe it was just this show.

I guess I'll find out who's singing this coming Wednesday? I heard Oni lives in Switzerland, so maybe something came up that prevented him from appearing on this tour? I'll hang around after show and ask George, if Oni isn't singing next week.
ask george what pickups are in that sonic blue linhof tele he plays occasionally...i wanna build a replica of that !

I'll ask him about the details on that Tele.
I appreciate it !

Who all was in the band?

Don't recognize the singer. I didn't hear his name. Here is a snapshot so maybe someone knows...

Here's a pic of Chaz West making the long horn (Dio) sign with his hand.

George played with fury and a lot of extended leads for the Houston show. It was actually quite interesting and he tore it up. They still played a lot of the bigger Dokken and Lynch Mob songs

Agreed on the still not enough gain stuff. Also on him fighting. On a nightly basis i think you get what you get. He experiments a lot because he has been playing the same shit for years. When I see clips as of late I still don't see him back to form of old but he is "good". Still some things going in and out of key.. too much for my liking . I 've mentioned that in other threads before. No excuse either, look at Warren Demartini, he still kicks ass and they were peers.

I saw Ratton their last tour and Warren had great tone and played well but looked tight. Carlos played all the fast leads.

Darn shame...anyone heard Chaz , does he do the songs justice?

The Show: Well I saw Lynch Mob last night and they absolutely killed it!!!! I enjoyed Oni Logan in the band when I saw them back in February live, but Chaz West was really good. He was hitting those high notes and for someone who didn't have much time to learn the songs did really well. Chaz was using sheets of paper with the lyrics for each song they performed. George got on the mike several times through the night joking with the rest of the band. He also noted the Oni issue with basically these things happen and the show must carry on. Unlike the previous show with Oni, the band although still tight and dynamic were open to extended jams and a more laid back presence on stage that the made the show even more entertaining.

The Gear: George was using the Randall LB 103 head with two 4x12 cabs. The cabs didn't look like the ones I normally see, such as the one that has the words 'Loose' scrawled on the grill cloth. One 4x12 cab had no tolex and was just bare wood. The guitars were his original Tiger and ESP Mom guitar (Replica of the JFrog w/ESP neck). I took photos of his pedal board, but the lighting and placement made it difficult to get a full detailed shot. The board looked like it had a Voodoo Labs switching board, a wah which wasn't his signature one, MXR Phase 90 and I couldn't tell if he was using that Cusack Screamer, or what overdrive/s were in use?

I will be uploading some photos from the show to this thread later today when I get off of work. I was able to get my tiger guitar that I built signed by George and he made the comment, "doesn't it feel great when you build your own guitar?" I agreed with him wholeheartedly. Unfortunately, I didn't get enough time with him like last time to ask about the blue Tele. I did hear from someone at the show that the Tele has pickups custom wound by Seymour Duncan himself for George. George also hinted to me that most likely Lynch Mob will be a rotating/changing lineup as the recent events have shown.

Glad it was a good show! Look forward to any pics you have!

I'll be seeing them on the 13th in Columbus, OH with Paul Gilbert & Mr. Big.

Yeah, I was surprised too! No SLO or Friedman amp. The Randall sounded great though. Thanks man.

If George was using another amp, I couldn't find it. I think that bare cab is a Friedman/Scumback cab as well.

George was on this night for sure. very good tone, and sharp licks.

This is the only pic I took with my phone.

In Houston there was an amp on the floor on the left side I watched the tech adjust before the show... some type of hot rodded marshall. I don't think the Lynch box was used.
