Only when masturbating. All the homo erotic imagery just works.

That metal series chic said it was very homo erotic music. Funny stuff

Masturbating is a homo erotic experience for you? Um, you might want to rethink that one. :)

Anyway, I'm not much of a lyrics guy and haven't listened to Saxon for many years so I'm in the dark on this. What's homo erotic about Saxon?

That documentary on VH1, some old lady was commenting on the homo erotic nature of those type bands. Kinda funny. You had to see it.
That was a good one. Wasnt the lead singer working food for a school?

That was Anvil I think.

I can't remember. The rock Docs are usually cool. Some unknown stuff. Alice Cooper is always a cool interview.

love older Saxon, but have had the hardest time liking anything they've done recently. It's just too polished and slick. The amount of reverb they put on Biff's vocals is incredible.

Had Wheels of Steel back in the day. Also Riot Fire Down Under was pretty rockin'.

I do!! love their new album aswell, Andy Sneap has done an amazing job on it.

My renewed love for them, may possibly be linked to my band being announced as supporting them on a special one off show where they will play the whole of the classic Denim and Leather album!

Cannot wait!

Was listening to this video and was wondering if anyone knows anything about their gear, sounds pretty dang good on this.. Check out Eagle has landed about 25 mins into it. nice lead tone and also nice chunky rhythm

Coincidentally, I found myself playing a Saxon riff when I was demoing my amp.

Haven't listened to or played ANY Saxon in centuries, but come time to record a demo clip out comes the riff for "Strong Arm of the Law"

Oh the times we live in :D

Last two times I saw them (last show was in October) they were using JVM 410 heads and Marshall cabs. Both were playing what appeared to be the Lifeson LP's as they had FR bridges.

Yup! LOVE Saxon!! I've only heard so much of their new stuff but from what I've heard it kicks ass. My favorite album is "Denim and Leather"... "Princess of the Night" ROCKS!! \m/\m/

Denim and Leather was a mainstay cover of ours when we were rocking out in highschool as a shitty little jammin' outfit. I think I was playing through a Traynor TS15 for part of my yoot. But we did play that song.

I haven't listened to them in a long time. I'll have to dig into my vinyl and have a retro listen, complete with crackles and pops. I saw them back in 1986 when they opened up for Yngwie Malmsteen on his Trilogy Tour. They were pretty good live from what I remember?

I love anything from Strong Arm of the Law for that Marshall/Greenback tone

Cool.
There's no real mystery to rock n roll tone.
Plug a good Les Paul or Stratocaster into a Marshall, turn it up to about 8 and proceed to rock.

 I wont mention my age but when ever I put on Power and Glory and wheels of steel, its absolutely necessary to turn it up loud as possible lol... Thats are jamming songs... Hey there awesome live... havn't seen them since the 80's Didnt like the one new song I heard but the old stuff is great

I went to cduniverse.com yesterday to get some stuff and saw Saxon had a CD soon to be released. Did a double take, then promptly ordered up some Orange Goblin.

This!

For the most i'm over the 80's and allways liked the 70's better anyways.

So yea, Orange Goblin for me, plus some Red Fang and Truckfighters!
