I don't need a tube change right now but was curious about swapping tubes. When I was reading the manual, it seemed to suggest that if you open the chassis for any reason it will void the warranty, you'll be electrocuted, etc. Is it safe to replace tubes in a Synergy amp (specifically 20IR)

Lol, how are you ever supposed to service your amp if you don’t open the chassis? You’ll be fine if changing tubes. Just keep your hands out from the underside.

So I can't test the capacitors by putting my tongue on it like a 9 volt? 😅

That's what I was thinking, how the heck am I supposed to to basic maintenance with tubes?

I'm sure it was just a poorly explained part of the manual and probably a safety thing with those who are not familiar with tube amps.

Yeah, it’s to discourage the average idiot from killing himself
