Anyone try adjusting BKP pickups to their radius?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone had experience with adjusting their BKP (or any other humbucker, but I use BKP) pole pieces to their neck radius. What kind of differences did you notice? Is it worth it?

Any input would be appreciated!

I only balance the poles with the string volume, maybe a g or high e that needs a little more compared to the other strings.... I usually drop the low e a tiny bit as an example; hope this makes sense. Don’t know if this is correct either, but I adjust them clean/cleanish as well. Having said that my favorite pickup is my lundgren in my charvel, and it only has slugs, so....

^ as above...

It's not the neck radius that needs consideration, it's the string's relative output and resultant volume compared to the other strings. The more steel/nickel vibrating over a pole piece, the more flux induced charge is created, the more the output. If you feel your strings aren't being all equally heard, adjust by ear, not eye.

2 cents.
