Anyone try the Electro Harmonix EH 6CA7 tubes?
Supposed to sound like an EL34 with the bottom end of a 6L6.

No, but the GT EL34M(6ca7) is a fantastic sounding tube if that's what you're after

I haven't tried the EH ones but I do use NOS Sylvania ones in my amp and they rock
They were what EVH used and George Lynch too at one stage (86/87)

I've got EH 6CA7 (Lord Valve) for 2+ years in TOL 100 head.
Louder, cleaner than SED or JJ 34s, but don't sound quite as scooped as JJ 6L6s in my MICA 100 combo - even using same speakers -2 EV12L in ported cabs.
But MICA has V30s, so the JJ 6L6s are the perfect recipe
