Anyone try the EMG 24 volt mod?

I decided to give it a shot on my ESP Eclipse but I think I like it better without the mod. Sounded pretty good playing cords but did not like it when picking single notes. Thought it made them muddy and fizzy, loss of clarity. Could be I need to find the sweet spot on pickup height, amp settings, etc. I'll give it some time but wanted to know if anyone else had opinions on it.

Never went past 18v. How do you do 24?

18V has its own character but I think I like stock 9V the best just because it’s what we all know and love.

It's a pretty cheap mod and doesn't involve soldering. Figured it would be interesting to try out, just plug and play.
