Anyone use Scumbacks with their SLO?

Particularly with a Soldano 2x12 or 4x12?

I am trying to get the Marshall 4X12 with Greenback sound out of a Soldano cab. My Eminence Legends are way to fizzy and harsh

Legends way too Fizzy and Harsh?

Tweak the treble and presence settings on your amp.
Experiment with some different preamp tubes.

Loving the Legends with my SLO

I have a Germino 2 x 12 that is running Scumbag SA-12 and SA-12-55 speakers in it....and it kills!! Its an open back. I had it hooked up at last years BBQ and had at least a dozen guys ripping on it...None seemed disappointed and got many compliments...but I have yet to ever harsh somebodies gear to them...LOL...would have to be a pretty big A-hole to tell a guy I thought the amp and cab he had been playing for the last 5 years sucked balls...LOL...especially after he just fed me and 80 of my friends... :D

My SLO is a 1990 and running winged C 5881's with a depth mod (that is turned off pretty much ALL the time)

Also, I have run my SLO through a BAdCat 4 x 12 with 4 English Greenbacks in it....ran it back to back with my Deizel cab with 2 vintage 30's and 2 Deizel speakers (dunno what they are, as they are just painted black) and the Deizel KILLED the BadCat...the greenbacks just seemed crazy bright compared to both my other cabs....I remember calling James Lugo and telling him about it just to do a sanity check if maybe I did something wrong because it was SIGNIFICANTLY different...and he said I was exactly right in what I was hearing...that the speakers in the cabs make a drastic difference...(I had no idea how much til I did the immediate comparison playing back to back....

so....before you outright buy that cab with greenbacks...I would take a quick run on it with your amp first...if you can....
