anybody.havent heard anything on them.a quick buzz that died quicker.

Yes. I use it almost every gig. Natual attenuation is said to be about 10% according to Soldano himself, and it's enough to push my amp into the sweet spot without being too loud. I've only tried the mic out once to my PC, but haven't messed with it that much but am anxious to try it in a live situation. I can only compare my Jettenuator experience to a Marshall Powerbrake, and I don't experience near the discoloring of tone/blanket over speaker effect on the Jettenuator like I did with the PowerBrake.

What specifically do you want to know about it?

well, ive never used an attenuator.its price seems in my range.and was wondering if it "really" did the job.

im gettin tired of turning my DSL to 2.5.i wanna turn it up.

I would love to see how it compares to the Alex attenuator, which I have and love.

The Jet City can take the decibel level down just fine, but the inherent trade off with pretty much any attenuator is it will heat up the box quite a bit (that's actually what it is converting to), and it takes away a hair of the high end EQ and a hair of gain. Byproduct is faster tube wear, but that is NOT fault of the attenuator, it is because your amp is working harder if you are pushing it harder volume-wise.

I like the options the Jettenuator has (again comparing to the Marshall Powerbrake I had prior): is a load box, so you can hook it up to the MicSim or LineOut without having to connect to your cab. Attenuation control as well as Line Out level control. Also -from Soldano himself- once the Jettenuator is hooked up from the amp, it "doesn't really matter' what ohms your cab is".

I wish I had more experience with other attenuators like the mini-Mass which seems to get a lot of press on the forums, but I like the Jettenuator a lot. Very useful tool in my rig for sure.

are they in the same price range?

If you compare a used alex attenuator to a new jet city attenuator, than yes they are pretty much the same price.
