Anyone using Vibes?

Just got another vibe pedal. Its one of the effects I like sometimes, but don't use excessively.
I started with an EQD The Depths, but it was so quiet.
Sold it and bought a Jam Retrovibe, but again it was too quiet. Also a bit expensive if you arent all that happy with it.

Fast forward to last week and the delivery of my Drybell Vibe Machine v.3
Awesome pedal! So many ways to adjust it to make it behave the way you'd like it.

Hate to say it. Plugged it in immediately and have not changed one setting from the factory.
Volume and treble, my chief complaints are there in spades!

I always keep a univibe pedal on my board. I like to do a Trower tune once in a while or maybe once a gig haha. I have had some great ones but just settled on the Dunlop one as it is good enough for me. I think the trick is putting it in front of the signal chain.
 
I have the Effectrode Tube-Vibe

It sounds awesome but sometimes I wish I could get it to sound more extreme

Yup mines in front!
I'm just happy to find one that gives what I need.
Has enough volume and isn't dark or low toned...
 
More depth I guess; it can get super fast

It sounds more like an actual Leslie than like an old Shin-Ei
 
I've had many vibes, and always had a Phase 90 on my board.
All those are gone and I use a Rotovibe. Love it.
 
I had the Jam and Drybell at the same time and went with the Jam. They do seem to be rig/amp dependent.

But neither of those could touch the Funky Vibe as far as a rich/lush Vibe effect. I’ve heard the Sir Henry Vibe is really good too. @CarlF is probably our best Vibe expert.
 
I got a Vibe Change pedal, it’s Brent from Mastodon’s pedal line, I really dug it until I got the Dry Bell (V2 I think) in a week later, I haven’t plugged that Vibe Change in since but if I’m playing a Strat there’s a 95% chance I have that Dry Bell plugged in because I can get lost in that shit all day long.

With just those 2 pedals I realized how one could go down a vibe rabbit hole, so I’m just cutting myself off with the Dry Bell, I love it and the only way I’ll discover something I love even more is by dumping a stupid amount of money into boutique vibes.

That is great news. I really want the KingTone 1968 pedal but that is like 500 buck for a vibe lol

Glad I'm really happy with the Drybell, I don't think Id part ways with $500 for a vibe, $300 was plenty.
But then again, I have accomplished dumber things... :LOL:
 
Most Vibes are very good. I've owned so many thru the years I lost count. I actually owned 3 original Univox Univibes thru the 70's and 80's.
These days I got a Sabbadius Funky Vibe, a Limited Edition one, and as a spare I got a Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe+.
Here's a pic from my new house in Myrtle Beach, SC. I moved from Long Island a few months ago.
What are those black pedals in the pic? Could they be the Frank Marino pedals, handbuilt and signed by Frank? Yup

Yes, I had an earlier red one. I was excellent. I just saw a Steve Stevens rig rundown and he was using a Drybell.
I had the Effectrode as well. Not a throbby Vibe, but had it's own thing going. The few recordings I did with it, it sounded killer.
The MXR Phase 95 gets some close-enough Vibe tones as well.

The Sabbadius is the Cream Of The Crop, for a guy like me, who was around back in the day and owned the real deal. The difference is, IMO, it's a bit more authentic to that era.
