Anyone work concert security?

A coworker here is also has ties with doing security for touring acts that come through town - he asked if I would be interested.

Anyone else done this kind of junk? Sounds like it'd be cool to get in to some concerts and get paid a bit to do it...lol...

I have done it about 50 or 60 times when I was younger.

Pretty easy gig as long as you don't cop an attitude.

I only ever had to "help" one person leave the show.

I worked off and on for a local security company that handles 90% of the concerts and all sporting events in Houston. It was only $8 an hour, but I literally sat on my ass and watched concerts from the balcony all night, and if someone couldn't find their seat I would shine my flashlight in their direction. I only worked at one venue (by choice) and always made sure I was upstairs (so I didn't have to stand all night). I avoided being on the floor cause I didn't feel like getting "physical" with anyone. They even gave out cups for free refreshments.
