I have no idea, I just found it impressive that he packed that arena by himself playing instrumental guitar tunes. Who did this song originally? I like the song.

I feel old, I thought everyone knew this stuff. It's the Shadows who made this song a hit in the 60's, they were a major instrumental guitar band like the Ventures. That gent there, Hank Marvin, was the lead guitar for the Shadows. The song was also recorded by others (including the Ventures) and is a major classic.
