I knew they released a 20 watt studio JCM800. I didn't realize they did a JCM900 as well. I'm not trying to knock it or anything because I'm sure these Studio amps have there place, but was this one really necessary? Were people lusting for Marshall to come out with one of these? If I really want a JCM900 I'm gonna pick up a big boy 100 watt used for less money.

Oops, I meant to post this in the main forum, not OTC. Can one of you kind moderators move it for me? I'll be your best friend ;)
I have the 20 watt Plexi, and it is one badass amp. Has a little something the originals don’t, in a very good way. As for volume, it is the loudest 20 Watters I’ve ever owned, and combined with the Fryette PT 100 it is just a thing to behold. Dial it down to a reasonable volume for playing around the house, or 100watts when needed. Very cool amp, and going to pick up the 20 watt silver jubilee soon.

I bought my 4500 DR head new in 93. im very happy with it despite all the negative chatroom publicity
cost me nothing but tubes and normal upkeep

JCM900 Dual Reverb was the first tube amp I ever owned. It was absolute dogshit.
The old ones had no where close to that amount of gain he is getting in the video, the SLX version was way better.
I'd much rather have a DSL50 or 100 for a lower end Marshall.

Screw it, let's make it full OT worthy...

Get ready to shell out more for you're Marshall amp once dRump puts tariffs on Ireland. Meanwhile the price of eggs is through the roof, what's your fascist leader fElon gonna do? Cut off foreign aid to malnourished illegal leprechauns who are just here to pick crops? No more avocados with those EL34 you just ordered. Orange paint and spray tans are now 80% off.

That puts a new-release amp in an already crowded sector, dozens to choose from. But there will be hard-core Marshall fans....

Hey, at least you became aware of it... unlike two members who shall remain nameless; neither has ever noticed.

Are there any bands that legitimately use a 900?

That's usually what drives this kind of nostalgia type stuff, but I just can't think of anyone who uses a 900.

Further proof that they suck!
Oh don’t mistake me, I don’t give a shit. They just might influence enough home/hobby players and it could be another circuit to add to their 20 watt line that might sell a couple amps.
I have no problem watching Kiki Wong.
