What does me turning 35 have to do with a bridge install?

This is something I never could have imagined myself doing. Taking a drill to a guitar? Measuring things out myself to install an extremely (if not THE MOST) important part of a guitar.

Never have I ever dreamed I would be popping new tuners on and lining them up and drilling things out, soldering, installing crazy wiring mods in guitars.

Even as recent as just a few months ago I'd have been terrified.... really..... but here we are - 35 (close enough to it)

I can't believe how far I've come in ways, and how far honestly I may have strayed away in other aspects of life.

Or maybe you just get better at seeing your faults the more you look, along with positives? I don't know about all that but....

I installed a new bridge on my tele. I thought it would be a direct swap, as I measured everything out I possibly could, but mounting screws were in a completely different locaiton, requiring me to measure, mount, and drill this thing myself.

I will post pictures soon, it's freaking late here, I just had to keep pushing until i got it done.

The feeling of achievement is immense right now.

I know it is a small/simple task to many here, but this is a huge step for me.

Life is best when your kids are 5-11. Enjoy! After that it gets expensive and more problematic.
I have been enjoying them since day one, so your scale starts a little late there :P but I have heard the teen years are a nightmare so looks like it stops in good time lol

That's a trip! I'd imagine you'll be a grandparent soon if you aren't already.....

The humbucker is just thrown in and is crooked a touch, do not use that to just bridge edge. Blacking everything out, including little toggles, except the switch cap (I think) and then will have zebra pickups installed. Hoping it comes out the way I see it in my head. Already digging the black bridge way better than the chrome.
