Just my opinion, but you should always get what you pay for, whether it's $1 or $1000 or $1000000. As far as guitars and amps, if it's a minor adjustment that is in the realm of normal tweaking, I won't care. If it's a quality control issue, it needs to be made right.

I'm glad that ESP is going to make this right for you. Honestly, I'm quite surprised that it passed through Sweetwater, although I have seen a few (much more minor) things pass through their inspection. It just sucks that you have to wait on something that shouldn't have ever left the factory (from what it sounds like to me).

Any idea how long it'll take them to make it right?

Not sure. Long story short I sent back for a return to wait on 2018 E-ii info. Dude hit me up and hinted I may not see exactly what I want on E-ii but that he would reach out to QC and find me a quality replacement for what I sent back. That was yesterday.

At this point it doesn’t matter what happens. I know I really like the evertune and while the LTD-1000 played and sounded great, my Standard Series is better. I’m sure he’ll come through with the LTD and I’ll be happy if it’s got no fret/binding issues.

I want to check out more hard tails like hipshot or anything other the TOM and maybe by 2019 they’ll have more options that I want on a higher model.

When and if it does show up I want to get a set of Fishman to try with it.

I just bought a brand new Ibanez RG6UCS, the $2k uppercut model and was expecting a great playing guitar out of the box. Upon opening it the action at the 12th fret was high enough to fit 3 quarters so I figure, fair enough it needs a setup...well as it turns out they had the action that high due to a twist in the neck and my tech says it needs a complete fret level to even it out. Stainless frets so I’m looking at close to $200...on a new Guitar, lucky for me I can just send it back. It seems a crap shoot these days at any price range
