Are JJ E34L's 25 watt or 30 watt?

%70 of max plate dis.
the other guys are looking for a shortcut really. they dont realize there is no one MA setting that suits all el34. You have to do the math. OR get a COMPUBIAS

I assure you I can do the necessary math involved without too much trouble. LOL! :D
I was just wondering if they were supposed to be biased differently than EL34.

The JJ's are 25, but I am fairly sure the Groove Tube E34ls is rated at 30.

Just a heads up Vlad...

If your amp is running 499vdc plate voltage, your screen voltage will not be far off that. JJ's are rated for a max voltage of 450vdc on the Screens, so your amp will be exceeding that for sure. Pretty much all New Sensor and JJ stuff is rated for 450v max on the screens.

When using an amp that runs high screen voltages, best choice IMO is to go with either Winged C's or the Ruby EL34BHT. Those two tubes can handle 500vdc + on the screens, so you don't have to worry about exceeding the max rating with those.

I used to have a vintage Hiwatt DR201 that ran 725 plate volts and I used JJ E34L's for years without issue.
