I guess maybe since they’re discontinued? I bought and sold mine for $800. Was years ago though. Was a lot of amp for the money, but definitely wouldn’t pay those kinda prices for it

It said brand new so I though this was the standard new price. Ok now I get it

I saw they jacked their prices up. I had a Thrasher and liked it but not $3200 worth. It had a mean attack to it though, really cut and sounded good recorded the twice I recorded stuff with it. When I sold it, I sent the guy a sample and regretted it a little bit. That ‘it’s already gone and of course I love it more now’ thing. I also had a V2, T2 and 667 and have kept the 667 until soon.

I have the 1 watt Diavlo. Kick ass sounding little amp, but fhey were blowing them out less than 2 years ago for $149. Now they are $649. Crazy.

Yep, that's Randall for you. These amps were $1599 new back in 2013, I believe.. They've had huge increases in the past 3 years, and are holding on by a thread, I believe. These are MADE IN CHINA for crying out loud. Only a moron would pay that much.

Like I said, I think Randall will be out if business soon. They haven't come out with anything new in 8 years, and continue to milk the line Fortin helped produce 8 years ago with downright offensive prices.

I love the Thrasher 50. They went from $999 to $2099!

The Diavlo RD45H was $599, and now they're $1429! Randall is high on crack.

The sad/crazy thing is, people must be buying them for these prices or they wouldn't list them as such.
Unreal.

When I sold mine in 2016 for $800, I had offers as low as $600. I was gonna say the other day that it could another hard to beat amp for the price vs that modded MIG clip, but clearly it's not a lotta amp for the money anymore lol

I saw today on Zzounds a thrasher was listed for over 3k. I kinda feel like they are just milking what they can before calling it quits

Yep. That, and desperation prices. Why do you think there's never any used ones? People stopped buying them when the price got crazy. Before that, you'd be lucky to find one. They were the shittiest about having stock. But, that's what you get for putting all your eggs in the China basket. For $3200, they could make them in the U.S. with better quality components. Don't forget, the headshells aren't even real wood, they're MDF! I bought one about 2 years ago when Sam Ash stopped carrying them for $1199, brand new. Too bad it was defective and I had to return it.

It's really a shame. I really like these amps and would easily own another for the right price.

nice to see randall using the same basic ass footswitch they've used since the 80s.

I wonder if they are inflating prices so they can boost "losses" when filing for corporate bankruptcy...

I got a minty RD45H on the way for $575 shipped. I think it's worth that price all day, but seeing some busted ones listed at $900+... people are fucking nuts!

Randall have lost their minds. In mid-2020, their newer solid state head, the RG1003H, was selling for $350. Now, if you can find one, it sells for about $800. Around the same time, the RG1503H, same amp with 50 more watts, sold for $450... and now, if you can find a seller, they're going for about $950.

Everybody who seems to follow the company at all is predicting they'll go out of business in 5 years, if it even takes that long.
