Are the TC Nova Drive and drive on the Nova System the same

Just got a Nova System 2 days ago and loving it so far. I bought it to put in the FX loop of my 5150/Marshall JMP-1 pre.
But initially, just to see how it worked, i plugged it to the clean chan of the 5150. WOW! The analog drive is really really warm, not too hi gain, but really nice overdrive.

As i cannot use the drive in the FX loop, i am thinking of getting the Nova Drive for the front of the amp. the Midi recall seems great too.
I am assuming the Nova Drive is the same/similar circuit but does more and has more gain. Please correct me.

BTW, on the TC boards, people are having massive issues with the Nova Drive, won't switch on, won't switch off, freezing, dying etc.
Are there any severe reliability issues going on with this pedal ??

The Nova Drive is better. I use mine in conjunction with my G-System and my 5150 III. I haven't had any issues.

Hmmm, it seems the only issues are being reported at the TC user forum which is usual.

I had a TC ND and didnt have any problem with it at all. I used it with my G sys also with a special midi "Y" cable. great pedal. With the G sys it can be programed through it and makes it more flexible.
