Are you more likely to keep an amp if it didn't cost much?

the most expensive amp I have ever owned is the Soldano slo 100 rack. I still have it but it sits in the garage. It is too limited, noisy, and it doesn't sound as good as should for the money. I have an ADA mp1 that I have really liked and I picked that up years ago for $160 and I plan on selling it very soon.

I have yet to find the right amp. I can't find something that has the tones I really want, The features that make it verisital, and a price that is resonable.

I would love to pull the trigger on an Axe-Fx but I don't want to have do the upgrade game like PCs every few years.

My favorite guitar tone is here but it seams to be a one trick pony http://www.rig-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=85996

Sorry for going off topic.

Cost is not a factor for me in keeping a piece of gear. Sentimental attachment is. My wife bought me a Strat 14 years ago. I will have that till the day I die and then my daughter will get it. My Dad bought me a Jackson dinky in High school. That I'll keep. Everything else will eventually fall victim to Ebay.

If I'm not using it and don't plan to use it, its for sale. Don't really care what the value is.

yeah, and the same goes for guitars. I have a $250 Agile that I rarely play, but its a good backup guitar. I thought about selling it a couple times but I know I wouldn't be able to get much out of it. So why sell it?
