Well after my little mental crisis the other day so to speak thinking about switching over to the axe fx, I stepped back, and just played my gear for a while, and realized, I am really totally happy with what I have, and don't really want to change anything. For the first time in my 3 years of playing guitar I can honestly say that I have no true GAS, and really just want to focus on my playing and bettering myself as a musician. It is a really good feeling to say the least

So how do the rest of y'all feel about your current rig? Are you happy with it? or at least content? Or continuing on a constant flipping and changing tone quest?

the same thing happened to me a month ago. i am most satisfied

Wow. You guys are LOSERS!

Mods: Ban these guys!!!!!

Joke

with what I have currently. I have happy with it overall. There are nit picky things id like to change but that will come in time.

I'll never be 100% and I've come to terms with that lol. I still enjoy what I have, but I always love buying more lol.

I've been totally happy ever since I got my Uberschall and pedal board finished. :rawk:

But there's always the "Love what I have, but wouldn't mind having that also" mental disorder. :loco:

I am content, but there is always room for improvement. Or at least a little different flavor.

Rig is evolving out of want not need. SLO and Rivera Knuck Tre stereo thru two 2x12 cabs. Only a few effects. Simple rig but sounds good to me. JP6/LP/Strat handle duties. Adequate for blues thru nu-metal.

A Meathead is on the radar. CCV sounds incredible but not so sure about the wait or lack of information/communication.

Your gas has stopped because you have not been to my house yet! :D You will once again have teh gas painz. Yeah, you had a serious brain fart the other day, jeez. That being said, I am pretty fuckin happy with current rig. If no one sold another amp ever, i would survive. Then why the fuck did I order a Hand built amp? Because I can

Damn, I had to really think about this for a minute or two... Not to screw with your crisis,  but personally, I played my Mark IV with a Lexicon happily for a decade, but after wanting more sounds for inspiration at my disposal, and chasing ( and not succeding at ) and trying to incorporate more varied styles in my weak rock repitore, I went after the Axe Ultra and been quite happy. I think for me its about having some new sound that'll hit me in the head outa left field and inspire a different perspective and make me want to see what I can develop based on the sound thats hitting me. But that can be done with ANY hi quality effects processor if your lovin the Tone your getting from your current amp, I think... No matter what, TOTALLY focus on your playing and getting better at what you want. I'd rather hear a player with killler skills and one or three basic amp settings than a hack like me with a bunch of settings an no skills...

Yeah, I'm definitely satisfied with the amps/guitars I have. They give me the the tone I want to hear.

I have been for a long time, especially my rack.
I love my small live setup too.
I wound up selling almost half my amps last year.
And no, I don't have an AxeFX
Nor do I need one.
My rack does all that can do and way more.

I have two rigs that I'm satisfied with. A small wattage tube rig and a high wattage tube rig.

But a friend has an Avenger for sale.....

so......... :checkthisout:

I think I can say I am complete.

I wanted something to complement my VH4S rig... I found that with the 20thA XTC and cab. I love my gear - the amps are just perfect for me. As for my FX rig, it's in a stage of being put together, but all the stomps are in there perfectly fine. I've got my Eventides, my EHX's, my Fulltone's and my CAE/MXR stomps. I am truly complete. The sounds I hear are incredible.

Sure, I'll always be in the market for different 6 gunners (guitars), but as far as the real hardware is concerned, I'm covered and very happy. My Lesters feel like sex when I play 'em, my ESP's keep me fast and furious, my custom ax's keep me content, and my latest Suhr keeps me funkin' and soulful.

So stoked

Thanks for askin'!! :D

In my band, I'm very happy. I just use a Splawn Quick Rod, with a Rocktron Intellifex in the loop, and a pedal board that I barely use. We mostly cover AC/DC up through current hard rock, and for what we do, it's nearly perfect.

Even though I'm happy, I'd dying to try out a PT100, and a Fortin of some kind.
